2013 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships Kick off Wednesday in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - The 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Swimming & Diving and Men's Diving Championships begin Wednesday, Feb. 20, and continue through Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., marking the first time in conference history that the ACC championships will be a held at a neutral venue.
The Florida State (5-0) and Virginia (3-0) women finished tied atop the regular season standings with perfect conference records. The Cavaliers, ranked No. 11 in the CSCAA Coaches Poll, have won five straight ACC championships and 10 in school history, all under coach Mark Bernardino. The 22nd-ranked Seminoles, coached by Neil Harper, won the only championship in program history in 2006.
No. 15 North Carolina finished third in the regular season standings with a 3-1 record in ACC competition. The Tar Heels have won a conference-leading 16 championships, with the last coming in 2007.
A live video stream of event finals will be available from the ACC Digital Network on theACC.com Thursday through Saturday from 7 p.m. until the finish, with Leah Secondo handling play-by-play and Frank Comfort adding analysis.
There is no charge for admission to the 2013 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships. Doors will open at 10 a.m. for the prelims and at 6 p.m. for the finals. Parking is available for $5 on Wednesday and $8 the remaining three days, with a weekly parking pass sold on Wednesday and Thursday for $15.

The Men's Swimming Championship will be held one week later from Feb. 27 through March 2 in Greensboro, N.C.
