Florida State's Marzullo, North Carolina's MacDonald, NC State's Prim Earn Weekly ACC Swimming & Diving Honors Presented By Chevrolet

Marzullo clinched first place in both the one- and three-meter diving events as Florida State defeated Clemson 187-113 in league dual meet action. The Columbus, Ohio, native led a FSU one-two-three finish in both events as the Seminoles outscored the Tigers 32-2 on the diving boards. The 403.65 on the three-meter was a personal season best for Marzullo, and he scored a 360.15 on the one-meter. Both marks qualified for NCAA Zone. MacDonald was named Diver of the Meet at the 2011 SMU Swim Classic as he led the Tar Heels to a second-place finish in a field that included four teams ranked in the Top 13 nationally. The Darien, Conn., native trailed for most of the one-meter diving competition before rallying on the last two dives to win with a score of 325.57, edging the second place finisher by less than two points. On Saturday, MacDonald took the lead on the second round of diving and scored a season-high 395.63, winning by 51 points over the second place diver. Prim took the top spot in both the 100 and 200 freestyle events. She registered a time of 51.87 in the 100 free and 1:50.80 in the 200. The Yadkinville, N.C., native also anchored the victorious 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays, which posted times of 1:46.01 and 3:28.28, respectively. Prim guided NC State to a 181-119 win over conference foe Georgia Tech, improving the Wolfpack to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the ACC on the year.
