Georgia Tech's Woolbright and Maryland's Hauser Earn ACC Swimming Weekly Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech freshman Kate Woolbright has been named the ACC Swimming & Diving Women’s Performer of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday. Maryland sophomore John Hauser was named the Men’s Performer of the Week.
Woolbright won two individual events – the 1,000 free and 500 free – and bested large fields of 13 and 16 swimmers in the two respective finals. The native of Clermont, Fla. posted the 13th best time in the conference this season in the 1,000 free to help the Jackets sweep Florida Gulf Coast, Liberty, and North Dakota.
Hauser led Maryland to its second straight dual meet win of the season with a 239-59 defeat of Towson. The native of Pottstown, Pa., won each event in which he competed, including the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 IM, and guided the 200 medley relay to a first place finish.
