CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - NC State freshman sprinter Rebecca Perry finished third in the 100 Freestyle at the ACC Championships as NC State finished eighth with 229 points. Perry led the team with top times in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events on the season and is a promising young swimmer for the future. All three marks topped the best times from the previous season as well.

Perry finished fourth in the 50 yard freestyle at the ACC Championship and two other swimmers finished first in finals. Kerry Whitson finished first in the finals (C) of the 200 yard freestyle and Perry also won the B final of the 100 yard backstroke.

In the 400 Yard IM, NC State placed three swimmers in the top-15, with senior Karen Burbella, Laura Cutler, and Jess Koenig placing.

NC State will name team MVPs and next season's team captain in the upcoming weeks.
