NC State Women’s Swimming Too Much for Campbell

The NC State women’s swimming and diving team moved to 5-3 (2-3 ACC) on the season with a 150-99 victory over Campbell on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Casey Natatorium.

The Wolfpack women and men were also scheduled to compete against East Carolina, but the Pirates cancelled.

State got things started by taking the top two spots in the 200-medley relay with Erica Smith, Anna Linkenauger, Patrice Dason and Ashley Richter winning with a 147.62. Jessica McBroom (10:27.37) and Taryn Shelley (10:31.12) then placed first and second respectively in the 1000 freestyle. McBroom’s time marks the second fastest on the team this season in the event, while Shelley’s is the third quickest.
