Cavaliers Fall at Florida
The Virginia men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell at Florida Wednesday in Gainesville, Fla. The Gator men defeated UVa 169-129 while the women suffered a 166-132 setback to UF.

Virginia second-years Liz Shaw, Matt McLean and Scot Robison along with third-year Mei Christensen, were all double-event winners for the Cavaliers.

Shaw earned first-place honors in the 200 fly (1:57.03), good enough for an NCAA B qualifying standard. She then went on to win the 100 fly in 54.96.

McLean led the pack of Cavaliers who went 1-2-3 in the 1000 free. McLean won the race in 9:03.00 while teammates Taylor Smith (9:15.78) and John Snawerdt (9:17.21) were second and third, respectively. McLean also claimed a victory in the 500 free in an NCAA B time of 4:23.96.
