Virginia's Brent Jones named ACC Wrestler of the Week   11/17/09   Virginia 197-pound senior Brent Jones, who scored a key major decision in one of the Cavaliers' three dual victories in Sunday's ACC Challenge, has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week.
		Maryland's Andrew Relihan and Ginny Glover Honored as ACC Performers of the Week   11/17/09   Two Maryland sophomore swimmers--Andrew Relihan and Ginny Glover--were tabbed the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week, respectively, announced today. Relihan turned in four top-two finishes in helping the men's team to a win over Towson, while Glover won two individual events in the women's team's victories over Towson and UMBC.
		Miami's Riquna Williams and Wake Forest's Sandra Garcia Earn ACC Weekly Honors   11/16/09   Miami's Riquna Williams and Wake Forest's Sandra Garcia were named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week after leading their respective squads to successful 2009-10 season-opening weeks. Williams helped the Hurricanes to a 2-0 start, including an impressive 111-93 win at CSU Bakersfield, while Garcia tallied a game-high 19 points in her first collegiate debut, a 64-47 victory over Jacksonville at the Joel Coliseum.
		ACC Men's Basketball Players of the Week Released   11/16/09   Wake Forest's Al-Farouq Aminu has been named ACC Player of the Week while Miami's Durand Scott garnered ACC Rookie of the Week honors.
		Clemson's Lia Proctor Earns ACC Volleyball Player of the Week   11/16/09   Clemson senior outside hitter Lia Proctor racked up 35 kills and 19 digs in the Tigers' two matches over the October 13-15 weekend to earn Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors, announced today. Proctor is the third Tiger to garner the accolade this season, and second in a row after freshman middle blocker Sandra Adeleye was named last week (Nov. 9).
		Atlantic Coast Conference Announces ACC Football Players of the Week for Week 11   11/16/09   North Carolina junior cornerback Kendric Burney broke an Atlantic Coast Conference single-game record with 170 interception return yards and was named Defensive Back of the Week to highlight this week's group of ACC Football Players of the Week. Burney was also named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week.
		Virginia's Sean Keveren and Virginia Tech's Sammy Dow Earn ACC Cross Country Honors   11/10/09   Virginia's Sean Keveren was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week, and Virginia Tech's Sammy Dow earned the league's Women's Performer of the Week honors.
		Virginia's Matt McLean and Lauren Perdue Selected ACC Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week   11/10/09   Virginia took a sweep of the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Performers of the Week honors, as junior Matt McClean and freshman Lauren Perdue were selected for the awards, announced today. McClean won two events in the men's 165-125 win against Kentucky (Nov. 7), while Perdue took first place in three events in the women's 172-110 victory over the Wildcats.
		Duke's Dudziak, North Carolina's Scotton Share First ACC Weekly Wrestling Honor   11/10/09   Duke senior heavyweight Konrad Dudziak and North Carolina junior 157-pounder Thomas Scotton have been named the first ACC Wrestlers of the Week for the 2009-10 season.
