The Big Ten/ACC Challenge didn't require much in the way of an upgrade in 2013. The event already featured two of the nation's premier college basketball conferences, and for 14 years it lived up to its billing as one of the game's marquee early-season events. But a very good thing gets even better this December.

Four ACC teams will be part of ESPNU's seventh annual Midnight Madness coverage which tips off at 5 p.m. Eastern time on Friday and will continue until midnight. Defending ACC champion Florida State will be one of 14 teams showcased nationally, along with Maryland, North Carolina and NC State.

Beyond the ACCtion: Lights, Camera, Soccer!

The ACC Digital Network will break new ground on Friday night. In conjunction with its partnership with YouTube, the ACCDN will produce its first live soccer broadcast when Maryland's top-ranked men's team plays host to Virginia Tech in a 7:30 p.m. game at Ludwig Field.
