Students will provide video, editorial and social media contributions as part of the ACCDN’s expansive coverage
Charlotte, N.C.: The ACC Digital Network (@theACCDN) named Shantel Jordan, a Mass Communications major with a minor in Journalism, and Jacob Dennis, a Management major with a minor in Journalism, as winners of its most recent Guest Reporter Search campaign. Jordan and Dennis will serve as official members of the ACCDN team in Greensboro, working alongside Jeff Fischel and Courtney Cox as well as analysts Jason Capel and Drew Barry. Both winners, who are passionate ACC and college sports fans, are set to graduate in Spring 2016. This is the 2nd Guest Reporter Search for the ACCDN. The promotion was also conducted leading up to the 2014 ACC Football Championship Game.
"I'm so thankful for the opportunity to join the ACC Digital Network at the ACC Basketball Tournament this week. It's an honor to learn from some of the best in the business. I'm interested to see the production from start to finish at a tournament of this caliber," said Shantel Jordan. "I think the Guest Reporter campaign is a great way to inspire college students to come up with innovative ways to promote the ACCDN. There was a strong group of candidates and I'm very grateful to have been chosen."
"I would like to thank the ACC Digital Network for providing me with the opportunity to join their on-site team for the Men's Basketball Tournament," said Jacob Dennis who entered the campaign for a second time after entering the first ACCDN search this past fall. "Sports writing is a field I've always wanted to work in, and being chosen as one of the ACCDN's winners is a great accomplishment. I look forward to providing some great coverage this week."
As the ACCDN continues to grow their network of Guest Reporters and contributors, those who are interested in being contacted about future campaigns or opportunities should follow @theACCDN or submit their information at theACC.com/GuestReporter.
