GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech senior Jillian O’Neill has been named the first Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for the 2012 season.

O’Neill, ranked No. 45, lost only three games en route to straight set win over Arkansas’ Claudine Paulson to open the season. O’Neill then teamed with sophomore Alex Anghelescu to beat Washington’s pair of Andjela Nemcevic and Capucine Gregoire, 8-6.

Finally, in doubles, O’Neill earned her second win over a ranked opponent when she teamed with Angheles to defeat Michigan’s 24th-ranked pair of Emina Bektas and Brooke Bolender by an 8-5 score on the Wolverines’ home courts.
