No. 11 Miami Women Take Down Virginia Tech, 5-1
The 11th-ranked University of Miami women's tennis team collected a 5-1 victory on Friday, taking down Virginia Tech in an Atlantic Coast Conference match played at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables, Fla.
With the skies threatening for rain, and inclement weather looming in the Coral Gables area all afternoon, the match was delayed for an hour and a half from its original start time of 2 p.m. The match was also forced to start with singles play, and ultimately, not playing doubles at all.
Miami (11-3, 5-0 ACC) collected five-of-six singles positions en route to the victory over the Hokies (9-5, 2-2 ACC).
`Noles Top UVA 5-2

The Seminoles now face their second conference foe of the weekend as they welcome Virginia Tech on Sunday at 12 p.m.
The `Noles kicked-off the match strong by posting back-to-back triumphs on court one and three to win FSU's first point.
After falling on court two to give Virginia the lead, court one saw Lauren McCreless and Francesca Segarelli upsetting No. 40 Emily Fraser and Jennifer Stevens 8-1 to tie the score
