May 6, 2010

GREENSBORO, N.C.—Senior outfielders Carly Wynn of Florida State and Nikki Lau of Maryland and North Carolina senior infielder Stephanie Murad were selected one of the College Sports Information Directors of America/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Softball teams, announced today by CoSIDA.

Wynn, a psychology major from Sharpsburg, Ga., was a first-team pick in District III (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia), while Murad, a Greenville, N.C., native and a journalism/mass communication major, was named to the second team.

Lau, a kinesiology major from Centennial, Colo., was selected to the second team in District II (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia).

Wynn’s first-team honor automatically qualifies her for nomination for the Academic All-America Softball Team, which will be announced by CoSIDA on May 26.
