GREENSBORO, N.C. – Maryland junior Sarah Mollison was named Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 4, announced today. Mollison tallied both game-winning goals in a pair of wins over No. 7 Towson at home and at No. 6 Penn in Philadelphia to move Maryland to 12-0 for 2010.
The Melbourne, Australia, native scored a game-high four goals in Maryland’s come-from-behind win against the Tigers on March 31, while adding a pair of assists, two draw controls and a caused turnover. Against the Quakers in front of a live televised audience, the junior Tewaaraton nominee notched two goals, while adding an assist to give Maryland its sixth win over a top-10 ranked foe this season. Mollison has now tallied a point in 33-consecutive matches, the 15th best streak in the country. She currently has 21 goals and 14 assists in 2010.
Maryland continues its three-game road swing Wednesday at No. 17 Princeton.
