GREENSBORO, N.C. – Maryland senior midfielder Caitlyn McFadden was named the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the period ending on Sunday, February 22.
McFadden lifted the second-ranked Terrapins to their first road win of the 2010 campaign at No. 18 Penn State Sunday. The senior from Phoenix, Md., tallied six goals, including four in the second stanza, to help Maryland erase a three-goal, first-half deficit against the Nittany Lions. McFadden, Lacrosse Magazine's National Preseason Player of the Year, added an assist and also tallied three draw controls to lead the Terps to a 2-0 record on the year.
The Terps return to action Saturday, Feb. 27, with a tough ACC road contest at conference-rival Duke. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET at Koskinen Stadium.
