North Carolina's Corey Donohoe Earns First 2011 ACC Weekly Women's Lacrosse Accolade Presented By Chevrolet

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina senior attacker Corey Donohoe was named the first 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week presented by Chevrolet for the period ending on Monday, February 14.

Donohoe scored her fourth goal of the game with seven seconds remaining in overtime as the third-ranked North Carolina women's lacrosse team earned a 10-9 season-opening win over No. 17 Florida Saturday afternoon at Fetzer Field. The senior from Jarrettsville, Md., scored on four of her six shots on the day, and added a pair of ground balls and draw controls.

For the veteran's opening weekend efforts, Donohoe also clinched the first Player of the Week honor of the 2011 season.

The No. 3 Tar Heels return to action Wednesday against another SEC team, traveling to Nashville, Tenn., to face Vanderbilt.
