CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Boston College lacrosse team lost the final game of the regular season at Harvard, 17-9 on Wednesday evening in Cambridge, Mass.
The Eagles end the season at 12-6 while Harvard's record finishes at 8-7.
Although the Crimson gained possession on the opening draw, the Eagles got on the board first, thanks to freshman Brooke Blue's 43rd goal of the season with an assist by senior Peyton Killeen.
After two quick Harvard scores, Killeen then tied the game thanks to a helper by sophomore Brittany Wilton. Harvard notched three more scores before Killeen was able to give BC its third goal, thanks to a great move inside the arc and a low shot that slipped past the keeper.
The Eagles were unable to equalize on the Crimson and BC trailed Harvard at halftime, 9-3.
Junior Hannah Alley opened the second half with a score for the Eagles and Blue followed up shortly after to give BC some life, but the Crimson powered back into the contest to take a 13-5 lead at the 19:40 mark.
