Duke's Lindy Duncan Honored as ACC Women's Golfer of the Month for March

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke freshman Lindy Duncan, from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Golfer of the Month for March. This is her second consecutive honor as she was named Women’s Golfer of the Month in February.

In the lone tournament of March, Duncan registered her first collegiate victory at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, played March 26-28 in Athens, Ga., with a three-under-par 213, over 54 holes of action at the University of Georgia Golf Course. Duncan won by eight strokes in a field of 119 players with three other ACC schools in action as well (North Carolina, Virginia and Wake Forest). Twenty of the 23 teams in the field were ranked in the Golfstat Rankings.

Duncan led from day one and registered a total of 11 birdies. The 54-hole total of 213 was a career best, while Duncan notched her second top five finish of her career, third top 10 placement and sixth top 20 finish in seven tournaments.
