  • Wake Forest captured the Bryan National Collegiate (895) for the first time since 2000, played March 27-29 at the Bryan Park Champions Course in Browns Summit, N.C. Since 2000, the Deacons have co-hosted the annually event with UNC Greensboro.
  • The tournament title is the Deacons’ first since winning the ACC Championship last spring. Wake Forest was led by sophomore Michelle Shin (Cape Coral, Fla.), who placed second with a five-over 221score.
  • North Carolina, Virginia, and Duke finished third, fourth and fifth respectively at the Bryan National.
  • North Carolina had their best showing of the spring and was led by Catherine O’Donnell (Jr., Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) and Allie White (Jr., Lancaster, Ohio), who tied for fifth place individually (223, +7).
  • Virginia was led by freshman Portland Rosen (Sugar Land, Tex.) who tied for third individually (222, +6).
  • Duke was led by Kim Donovan (Sr., Hopkinton, Mass.) who posted a career-best individual finish (T3, 222, +6).
  • Florida State finished as a team in seventh place and NC State 15th at the Bryan National.
  • Florida State junior, Hannah Thomson (Perth, Australia) earned a Top 20 individual finish (T16th).
  • NC State’s freshman, Brittany Marchand (Orangeville, Ontario, Canada) was the Pack’s top finisher (T46th, 237).
  • In the March 27th Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, four ACC teams are ranked in the Top 20: Duke (7th), Virginia (8th), Wake Forest (12th) and North Carolina (17th). Florida State is ranked 30th.
  • Three ACC players are ranked in the Top 25 of the March 27th Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings: Lindy Duncan, Duke (4th), Brittany Altomare, Virginia (13th) and Michelle Shin, Wake Forest (22nd).
  • Natalie Sheary, Wake Forest ranked 27th, Laetitia Beck, Duke ranked 35th, Catherine O’Donnell, North Carolina ranked 42nd, Calle Nielson, Virginia ranked 48th, Maria Salinas, Florida State ranked 49th and Cheyenne Woods, Wake Forest ranked 50th.
