Duke's Lindy Duncan Honored As ACC Women's Golfer Of The Month Presented By Chevrolet

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke's Lindy Duncan has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Golfer of the Month presented by Chevrolet for March.

Duncan, a sophomore from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. claimed her first victory of the season and second collegiate win at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic against the top talent in the nation. She posted rounds of 72-75-71=218, which was tied for the lead after 54-holes. She went on to win the tournament on the third playoff hole with three straight pars, defeating Louisville's AnnaKarin Ljungstrom. The LSU Classic was played March 11-13 in Baton Rouge, La., and featured nine ranked teams.

At the Bryan National Collegiate, played March 25-27 in Browns Summit, N.C., Duncan turned in a tied for seventh place finish with rounds of 77-72-75 for a total of 224. She has now totaled four top five and six top 10 finishes on the season for the Blue Devils. The Bryan National featured seven ranked teams.
