Florida State's Maria Salinas and North Carolina's Catherine O'Donnell Honored As ACC Women's March Co-Golfers of the Month

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Florida State’s Maria Salinas and North Carolina’s Catherine O’Donnell have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s March Co-Golfers of the Month.

Salinas, a senior from Lima, Peru won her first career individual championship with a 4-under par score of 206 at the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational, played March 16-18 in Gainesville, Fla. She helped the Seminoles finish in third place in the team standings and her final 66 score on the last day ranked as her career low. The Seminoles, ranked No. 34 nationally, finished ahead of four teams in the top 15 of the national rankings.

North Carolina’s Catherine O’Donnell, a senior from Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., won her second collegiate tournament at the LSU Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, La., played March 9-11. She tied for first place with a 2-under par score of 214. She led North Carolina to a third place finish out of 14 teams, five of which were nationally ranked. O’Donnell tied for 12th individually at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, played March 2-4 in Hilton Head, S.C. and helped her team to a second place finish.
