Spring Highlights

  • Boston College captured the team title at the Eagle Invitational, played March 19-20, Pelican Bay Country Club South in Daytona Beach, Fla. Four out of the five Boston College players finished in the Top 10 individually. Carrie Barbee (Jr., Cartersville, Ga.) placed second; Eunice Yim (Jr., La Canada, Calif.) and Kaela Klune (So., Itasca, Ill.) tied for third and Kelsey Rockey (Sr., Southlake, Tex.) tied for sixth.
  • Maryland (888) finished second as a team at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate, played March 21-22, Eagles Landing Country Club, Stockbridge, Ga. Individually, Jessica Hollandsworth (Jr., Floyd, Va.) shot a final round 69 to finish third (213, -3) at the John Kirk.
  • Miami finished tied for 14th at the John Kirk and was led by Maria Ronderos (Sr. Bogota, Columbia) who finished sixth (220, +4).
  • In the March 20th Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, four ACC teams are ranked in the Top 20: Duke (6th), Virginia (8th), Wake Forest (15th) and North Carolina (19th). Florida State is ranked 30th.
  • Three ACC players are ranked in the Top 25 of the March 20th Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings: Lindy Duncan, Duke (3rd), Brittany Altomare, Virginia (9th) and Michelle Shin, Wake Forest (22nd). Natalie Sheary, Wake Forest ranked 27th, Laetitia Beck, Duke ranked 42nd, Calle Nielson, Virginia ranked 47th and Maria Salinas, Florida State ranked 50th.
