The ACC is represented by three teams in the "Final Four" of the 2010 Division I Field Hockey Championship. No. 2 seeded North Carolina will meet No. 3 Virginia in a rematch of last year's national semifinals and this year's ACC Championship semifinals. Top-seeded Maryland faces Ohio State. The winners will meet in the national championship on Sunday. It marks the second consecutive year and sixth overall that the ACC has three of the four semifinal teams. It is also the 14th time since 1983 that the ACC has had multiple teams appearing in the "Final Four".
Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia hold the top three spots, respectively, in the latest NCAA RPI. Wake Forest is 13th, followed by Boston College at 16th and Duke at 17th.
