GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina senior midfielder Kelsey Kolojejchick has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Kolojejchick scored three goals and added two assists in two Tar Heel victories over the weekend. She tallied three goals on five shots and notched two assists for eight total points. She has 27 points on the season, 2.7 per game, ranking her second in the conference and seventh nationally.
Against 19th-ranked conference rival Duke, Kolojejchick tallied one goal on three shots and had one assist. Two days later, she led the Tar Heels to a 6-2 victory over No. 11 Stanford with two goals on two shots and another assist.
The two scores against the Cardinal moved the Larksville, Pa., native into fifth place on North Carolina’s all-time goals list with a career total of 60. She currently ranks fourth in program history for career points and is tied for eighth in assists.
