GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina senior forward Jaclyn Gaudioso Radvany has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the conference office. This marks her first career weekly award.
The Tar Heels started the season with two wins on back-to-back days against highly ranked opponents. Competing in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge at Winston-Salem, N.C., North Carolina beat 10th-ranked Michigan 5-1 on Saturday and No. 12 Iowa 5-0 on Sunday.
Gaudioso Radvany, a native of Lawrenceville, N.J., scored two goals in both games and added an assist against the Hawkeyes for a conference-leading nine points after one weekend of action. She tallied seven shots and five on goal through the two games.
