GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) -- Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John D. Swofford announced today the composite schedule for the upcoming 2010-11 ACC Women’s Basketball season.
The 2010-11 women’s basketball season tips-off on Friday, Nov. 12 with season-opening action for nine teams, while league competition is slated to begin Thursday, Jan. 6, with 10 of the conference’s 12 programs challenging one another.
Each ACC school has at least one home and one road contest broadcast in their local markets as part of the league’s regional sports network package.
This season will feature the fourth annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, which matches 11 teams from each conference in head-to-head competition traditionally on the first Wednesday and Thursday after Thanksgiving, following the men’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
