Deacons Win Back And Forth Battle With Davidson 68-66

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest junior center Sandra Garcia scored a season-high 22 points as the Demon Deacons held-off a pesky Davidson squad 68-66 Saturday afternoon at the Joel Coliseum.

The win was the 10th of the season for Wake Forest as it finishes the non-conference portion of the schedule at 10-3. Davidson, who came into the game on a five-game win streak, falls to 7-5 on the season.

Garcia was 10-of-13 from the floor including a clutch three-pointer from the top of the key in the second half. She also grabbed six rebounds and recorded a season-high three blocks. Fellow junior Lakevia Boykin was the other Demon Deacon to finish in double-figures as she posted 16 points and was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.
