Noles Hold Off Gophers, 68-56

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Junior guard Alexa Deluzio scored 17 points to lead No. 14 Florida State to a 68-56 victory over Minnesota in the Women's Basketball Invitational Tipoff on Saturday.

Deluzio sparked a 15-2 run in the final minutes with back-to-back 3-pointers at the 6:17 and 5:32 marks.

Chasity Clayton added 16 points and Cierra Bravard had 11. Natasha Howard pulled down 12 rebounds to lead FSU to a 47-39 advantage on the boards.

No. 20 Heels Make Quick Work of Gardner-Webb, 109-44

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Senior centers Chay Shegog and Laura Broomfield each had double-doubles for No. 20 North Carolina in a 109-44 rout of Gardner-Webb on Saturday.

Shegog tied her career high with 19 points and had 10 rebounds, and Broomfield added 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Freshman wing Megan Buckland had 17 points in her first start for North Carolina, while Danielle Butts had 12.
