COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Monet Tellier knocked down a career-high tying 31 points, pacing three Virginia Tech women's basketball players in double figures as the Hokies upset No. 7 Maryland, 75-69 on Thursday evening at the Comcast Center.
"I could not be any prouder of these girls," said head coach Dennis Wolff. "I can't imagine a group of girls who deserve a win like this more, based on what they've been through."
Tellier connected on a career-high five three pointers and hit 10-of-11 from the free throw line for the Hokies (7-14, 3-5 ACC). In addition she pulled down five rebounds, had three assists, two steals and a block. Aerial Wilson added 15 points and picked up three steals while Porschia Hadley tallied 14 points and six boards. LaTorri Hines-Allen grabbed a team leading nine rebounds, including six key ones on the offensive glass. Alyssa Fenyn had seven points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Secily Ray scored nine points to lead Wake Forest (12-8, 2-5).
