Seminoles End Spring Break Road Trip With Win
With a 5-2 victory over No. 51 Rice, the No. 19 Florida State men's tennis team finished its Spring Break road trip at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium. After losing the doubles point, the Seminoles (10-2) came back strong to win five singles matches. Winning his 147th career match was senior Jean-Yves Aubone (Miami, Fla.) to make him tied for 10th in career overall wins at Florida State.

The Seminoles stormed the courts after losing the doubles point knowing they had to win each match. Winning first for the Seminoles was No. 69 Vahid Mirzadeh (Wellington, Fla.). The senior won his 13th singles match of the season in a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Oscar Podlewski on court two. No. 35 Aubone won the next match for Florida State. After winning a tight first set, he came back decisively in the second set to upset No. 25 Bruno Rosa 7-5, 6-1.

With this win, he is tied with Ty Braswel and only seven wins away from tying current assistant coach Mat Cloer with 154 wins.
