GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Six student-athletes from Atlantic Coast Conference schools have been named to the 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Men's Soccer Division I All-America Team announced Friday, including four first-team selections.
MAC Hermann Trophy finalists Andrew Wenger of Duke and Billy Schuler of North Carolina were named to the first team. UNC, which faces UCLA tonight in the semifinals of the NCAA Men’s College Cup, also placed junior midfielder Enzo Martinez and senior defender Matt Hedges among the 11-member first-team squad.
Maryland saw two players honored, as senior forward Casey Townsend was named to the second team and junior midfielder John Stertzer was a third-team selection.
