GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke forward Andrew Wenger has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the second straight week after leading the Blue Devils to a 2-0 week with four goals and a pair of assists for 10 points.
In a midweek 4-1 victory over UNC Wilmington, Wenger had a hand in all four goals, scoring twice and assisting on two others. Three days later he scored two more goals to lift Duke to a 4-1 ACC victory over Wake Forest. It marked the first time Duke had scored four goals against the Demon Deacons since 1995.
In the last three games, Wenger has racked up seven goals and three assists for 17 points. The Lititz, Pa., native has scored two-plus goals in four games this season. Wenger currently leads the ACC in points (23) and goals (10).
