Five ACC Men's Teams Ranked Among Soccer America Preseason Top 25

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Five Atlantic Coast Conference teams are ranked among the Soccer America Men's Preseason Top 25 poll released Wednesday morning.

Maryland drew a No 3 ranking and is joined in the top 10 by defending NCAA and ACC champion North Carolina at No. 6.

Boston College is ranked No. 11, followed by Wake Forest at No. 19 and Duke at No. 21.

The ACC is coming off a 2011 season that saw six teams land berths in the NCAA tournament field and three finish the season ranked among the top 15 nationally. The 2012 ACC Coaches’ Preseason Poll will be released later today.

The season gets under way this weekend, with all nine conference teams set to see action. Conference play begins the weekend of Sept 7.
