Three ACC Men's Soccer Teams Ranked in NSCAA Preseason Poll

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Defending NCAA champion North Carolina is ranked No. 1 in the 2012 NSCAA Men’s Soccer Preseason Rankings released on Tuesday. Maryland is ranked ninth and Boston College 14th to give the Atlantic Coast Conference three teams among the top 15 in the poll.

Virginia, Duke and Wake Forest were among the top four teams receiving votes. The ACC is coming off a 2011 season that saw six teams land berths in the NCAA tournament field and three finish the season ranked among the top 15 nationally.

The season gets under way the weekend of Aug. 24-26, with all nine conference teams set to see action. Conference play begins the weekend of Sept 7.
