All Four ACC Teams Ranked in Top 10

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Four Atlantic Coast Conference men’s lacrosse teams  rank in the top 10 of both the USILA Coaches’ Poll and the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.

In the USILA Coaches’ Poll, Maryland ranks second behind only defending champion Loyola. The Terrapins, who collected 221 points and sit 11 behind the Greyhounds, picked up one first place vote. North Carolina is tied for fourth with Johns Hopkins with 186 points, followed by No. 6 Duke (186 points) and No. 7 Virginia (170 points).

Maryland is also ranked at No. 2 in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll with 459 points behind Loyola’s 494 points. No. 4 Duke (416 points), No. 7 North Carolina (354 points), and No. 9 Virginia (319 points) are also ranked in the top 10. 

The 2013 season gets underway on Friday, Feb. 8 when North Carolina hosts Air Force at 7 p.m.
