Crotty and Quinzani Combine for 22 Points in Win
Duke University seniors Ned Crotty and Max Quinzani combined for 22 points this afternoon to lead the fifth-ranked Blue Devil men's lacrosse team to a 19-7 victory over Sacred Heart in the regular season finale. Quinzani and Crotty both registered 11 points apiece to tie the Duke single-game points record.
Quinzani led all goal scorers with eight and added three assists, while Crotty put in three goals and dished out eight assists. The eight helpers from Crotty also tie the Duke single-game record.
The pair's matching 11-point outing, marks just the eighth and ninth time in program history that a player has tallied 11 points in a game. The combined 22 points is the most by two players in Duke men's lacrosse history. Eight assists in a game has happened twice before with the last time coming in 1981.
