CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – This year marks the sixth consecutive year that the Atlantic Coast Conference has participated in the World Vision’s “Gifts-in-Kind” Program, which allows the league to donate its runner-up championship gear to those in need in third world countries.

The ACC donates around 600 items annually, including the runner-up gear from the annual Football Championship Game, Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, and Baseball Tournament.

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Founded in 1950, World Vision serves the world’s poorest children and families in nearly 100 countries. The organization has procured, processed, and shipped billions of dollars in donated products to support emergency relief and long-term community development in the U.S. and around the world for more than 20 years.

2010 ACC Football Championship Game
The 2010 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game will be played December 4, at 7:45 pm at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium and will feature Atlantic Division Champion Florida State against Coastal Division Champion Virginia Tech.
