CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - In the days leading up to the ACC Football Championship Game on December 4, popular Charlotte uptown destination EpiCentre will serve as headquarters for all ACC football fans.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Whisky River will kickoff the festivities on Thursday night, December 2, hosting a live performance by country music recording artist Bridgette Tatum. The singer and songwriter's single "LOUD" is the official theme song of 2010 ACC Football season and appeared during ACC Network broadcasts of ACC Football games throughout the season.
The following evening, Friday, December 3, EpiCentre hosts ACC Fan Central, beginning at 7 p.m., featuring special appearances by ACC team mascots, pep bands and cheerleaders. ACC Football fans will also receive free admission to EpiCentre hotspots such as: BlackFinn, Kazba, Mez, Mortimer's, StrikeCity, Suite and Whisky River until 11 p.m. on Friday.
EpiCentre is the Southeast's hub for dining, entertainment, recreation, nightlife and hospitality. Featuring an innovative design and accommodating layout, EpiCentre is home to over three dozen unique concepts encompassing over half a million square feet. The restaurants, shops and nightspots at EpiCentre are perfectly situated around an open air pavilion offering dramatic views of the Charlotte skyline. Located at the intersection of Trade and College Streets, EpiCentre is in the heart of vibrant uptown Charlotte, just blocks away from prominent businesses and venues such as Bank of America Corporate Center, Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte Convention Center and the new NASCAR Hall of Fame and Museum. ACC FanFest will then move on Saturday, December 4 (Noon until 7 p.m.) to the streets between Mint and Graham, adjacent to Bank of America Stadium. FanFest will include interactive games, performances by team bands, mascots and cheerleaders, ACC corporate partner attractions and giveaways, food and beverages, autograph opportunities with ACC Legends and entertainment all day long. Highlighting the afternoon of entertainment will be a live performance by country music stars Montgomery Gentry. Admission to FanFest is free to anyone attending the 2010 ACC Dr Pepper Football Championship Game.
The weekend culminates with the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship on Saturday night inside Bank of America Stadium. The game, slated for a 7:45 p.m. kick-off, pits the ACC Atlantic Division winner against the ACC Coastal Division winner for the opportunity to represent the conference as ACC Champion in the Discover Orange Bowl on January 3 in Miami.

The 2010 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game will be played December 4, at 7:45 pm at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium and will feature Atlantic Division Champion Florida State against Coastal Division Champion Virginia Tech.
