Charlotte's EpiCentre to Host 2012 ACC Football Fan Central

Charlotte, N.C. – EpiCentre, a popular Uptown Charlotte destination, will serve as headquarters for all Atlantic Coast Conference football fans on Nov. 30, the night before the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship game, and for a family-friendly carnival the afternoon before the game on Dec. 1 from noon to 4 p.m.

The event features special appearances by ACC team mascots, pep bands and cheerleaders. ACC Football Fan Central starts at 7 p.m. with bands set to perform at 9 p.m. ACC Football fans will also receive free admission to EpiCentre hotspots such as BlackFinn, Kazba, Mez, Mortimer's, StrikeCity, Suite and Whisky River until 11 p.m. on Friday.

The family-friendly carnival will feature simple games of skill where fans can win points for their respective schools. At the end of the event, the school with the most number of points will receive a $500 scholarship. Kids can participate in an easier version of each game.

In addition to the games, there will be magicians, face painters, jugglers and a DJ. Guests will receive a package of special offers to participating EpiCentre businesses.

2012 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship: The 2012 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game will be played at 8 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium and will feature the Atlantic Division Champion Florida State against the Coastal Division Champion Georgia Tech.  Tickets for the general public are on sale.  The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
