Team USA roundup: Creecy, NC State Upset Clemson

Nov. 22, 2011

Achieving consistency has been challenging this season for the North Carolina State football team.

The Wolfpack put it all together Saturday, beating No. 7 Clemson, 37-17, behind a 27-point second quarter that included a 4-yard touchdown run from 2010 U.S. Under-19 National Team member Tony Creecy.

The victory made North Carolina State bowl eligible and gave the Wolfpack a signature win in what has been a trying fall. It also marked N.C. State’s first win over a top-10 team since 2005.

Creecy finished with 65 yards on 15 carries. He also had two catches for 16 yards.
