Team USA Roundup: NC State's Creecy Scores First TD

Saturday was a memorable day for Tony Creecy.

The redshirt freshman from N.C. State, who helped Team USA to a 14-0 win over the World Team in the 2010International Bowl in Fort Lauderdale, caught his first career touchdown pass in the Wolfpack’s 28-14 win over Virginia.

It was a five-yard play in the second quarter to tie the game at 7.

Creecy finished with seven receptions for 42 yards and also had nine rushes for 28 yards. Teammate Hakeem Flowers, who helped Team USA to an International Bowl win in 2011, had one tackle.

Elsewhere in the ACC

David Wilson (2009) led No. 14 Virginia Tech with 134 yards rushing and a touchdown on 17 carries as the Hokies beat Boston College, 30-14. Wilson also caught three passes for 16 yards. Tariq Edwards (2009) had seven tackles, including one for loss, and an interception for Virginia Tech while Steele Divitto had five tackles for the Eagles.

Titus Till (2010) had eight tackles, six of which were solo, to lead Maryland in a 41-16 loss to Florida State.
