16th-Ranked Miami Heads To Clemson For an ESPN 3-D Clash... Unbeaten and 23rd-Ranked NC State hosts Virginia Tech In One of Five Interdivisional Matchups... Boston College Hosts Notre Dame; North Carolina Hosts East Carolina In Nonconference Action

Week Five of the Road to Charlotte looks to be an ACC "Battle of Divisions" as all five conference matchups feature Atlantic vs. Coastal Division games...The Atlantic Division holds a 51-47 advantage over its Coastal rivals in interdivisional play which began in 2005...Headlining the weekend is 16th-ranked Miami led by QB Jacory Harris and DE Allen Bailey, traveling to Clemson for a nationally televised (ESPN2, 12 noon) game at Memorial Stadium...The Tigers are led by QB Kyle Parker and S DeAndre McDaniel... The teams' last three meetings have gone into overtime, with the visiting team winning on each occasion...ESPN has chosen to offer this game in its new 3-D format, the fifth ACC game to be so offered...In Raleigh, 23rd-ranked NC State--making its first appearance in the AP poll since the third week of the 2003 season--will be hosting Virginia Tech in a 3:30 pm regionally televised game on ABC...Wolfpack QB Russell Wilson has thrown for 11 TDs in State's first 4 games, while LB Nate Irving--the National Defensive Player of the Week by the Walter Camp Foundation--leads a rejuvenated Wolfpack "D"...The Hokies look to QB Tyrod Taylor, the ACC's leader in pass efficiency, to provide the offensive firepower, while its defense, led by LB Bruce Taylor is coming off a 19-0 shutout of Boston College... The game features a matchup of the two new coaches in the league in Mike London at UVa and Jimbo Fisher at FSU...The Seminoles are led by QB Christian Ponder, while UVa looks to QB Marc Verica to guide its offense... In Winston-Salem, N.C., Wake Forest will host Georgia Tech (7 pm, ESPNU) and its spread option offense led by QB Joshua Nesbitt... Coach Paul Johnson's team ranks 4th nationally in rushing offense, while Jim Grobe's Demon Deacons, with true freshman QB Tanner Price, have a solid ground attack of their own, ranking 15th nationally...In College Park, Maryland, led by WR-KR Torrey Smith and LB Alex Wujciak, will host Duke at 6 pm (ESPN3.com) at Byrd Stadium... Coach David Cutcliffe's Blue Devils are looking to snap a three-game losing streak and are led by QB Sean Renfree and WR Conner Vernon, who has topped 100 receiving yards in 3 of his 4 games this season... In Chestnut Hill, Boston College resumes its special rivalry with Notre Dame in an 8 p.m. (ABC) game at Alumni Stadium... The Eagles--led by LBs Luke Kuechly and Mark Herzlich--have won 6 of the last 7 games with the Fighting Irish ...North Carolina hosts in-state rival East Carolina this Saturday (3:30 pm, ESPN3.com) at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill...QB T.J. Yates has completed 68 percent of his passes in leading the Tar Heels, while head coach Butch Davis' defense, still missing six preseason starters, held Rutgers to just 244 total yards in a 17-13 win last week as LB Quan Studivant had 12 tackles and DE Quinton Coples had three QB sacks.
