19th-Ranked Miami Heads To Pittsburgh For an ESPN Thursday Night Clash... NC State-Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech-Boston College, Wake Forest-Florida State Meet in ACC Play... North Carolina, Maryland, Duke, Virginia Face Nonconference Tests

Week Four of the Road to Charlotte features the 19th-ranked Miami Hurricanes travelling to meet Big East preseason favorite Pittsburgh in a nationally televised Thursday night game on ESPN (7:30 pm)... Miami, led by QB Jacory Harris and the special teams tandem of KR Lamar Miller and PR Travis Benjamin, will be facing its second straight road test after dropping a 36-24 decision at 2nd-ranked Ohio State on Sept. 11...The game is one of two ACC-Big East matchups this week, as North Carolina heads to Rutgers for 3:30 pm Saturday (ESPNU) contest with the unbeaten Scarlet Knights (2-0)... UNC, which held out 12 players including seven starters against Georgia Tech due to ongoing investigations, is coming off its second straight heart-breaking, six-point loss... The Tar Heels are led by QB T.J. Yates and TB Johnny White, who rushed for 113 yards against the Yellow Jackets... Three ACC games also headline Saturday's schedule including a pair of interdivisional contests and one Atlantic Division clash...Unbeaten NC State, led by QB Russell Wilson, heads to Atlanta to face Georgia Tech and its own standout QB in Joshua Nesbitt for a 12 noon, nationally televised game (ESPN) at Bobby Dodd Stadium... Wilson, who passed and ran for 366 yards in State's win over Cincinnati, and Nesbitt, who topped 100 yards rushing for the 6th time in his career in Tech's win at UNC, both lead the ACC in touchdown responsibility (TDR) with 8... Virginia Tech, led by QB Tyrod Taylor, who leads the ACC in passing efficiency (167.1), will travel to Boston College for a 12 noon contest (ACC Network) at Alumni Stadium... The Eagles are led by TB Montel Harris, the ACC's leading rusher... In Tallahassee, Fla., Florida State welcomes Atlantic Division rival Wake Forest in a 3:30 pm game at Doak Campbell Stadium that will be regionally televised by ABC...The Seminoles of coach Jimbo Fisher are coming off an impressive win over BYU in which TB's Chris Thompson and Ty Jones combined for 218 yards rushing on just 24 carries--a sparkling 9.1 per-carry average... Led by freshman QB Tanner Price, Wake Forest looks to bounce back from a loss at 19th ranked Stanford ... Maryland returns home to face Florida International in a 12 noon game (ESPNU) at Byrd Stadium... The Terps are led by WR/KR Torrey Smith who had TD catches of 60 and 80 yards against West Virginia last weekend... Duke, led by QB Sean Renfree will host Army in a 3 pm game ( at Wallace Wade Stadium... Renfree is currently 2nd in the ACC in passing efficiency, passing yards per game and total offense... The Cadets rank 7th nationally in rushing... Virginia plays host to in-state rival VMI in a 1:30 pm game at Scott Stadium ( Mike London's Cavaliers are led by TB Keith Payne, who ranks 4th nationally in scoring (15.0) and averages 6.1 yards per carry.
