ACC Announces Schedule for the 12 Days of ACC Football - 2011 Edition

GREENSBORO, NC (theACC.com) - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday that the ACC's official website, theACC.com, will again be previewing the 2011 ACC Football season with a special preseason football countdown of each conference school entitled "12 Days of ACC Football."

The series, a virtual preview of the league's 12 football programs, will begin on Monday, August 1, with a first look at the Duke Blue Devils and will conclude on Friday, August 12, with Florida State, the preseason pick to win the 2011 ACC Football Championship. In between, each ACC school will be previewed individually on 12 consecutive days with teams unveiled based on their predicted order of finish in alternating divisions.

Each day will include new, original content on each school's football team and student-athletes with updated bios of ACC head coaches, statistics, rosters and notes on the upcoming football season. Preview video content produced by the ACC's Advanced Media department will be available.

The 2011 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game will be played on Dec. 3 at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium. Televised in 3-D and HD by ESPN, the ACC title game will have an 8 p.m. kickoff. For ticket information, visit www.ACCFootballCharlotte.com.
