Charlotte, N.C. – Raycom Sports today announced the launching of a new studio show, ACC Blitz, to complement coverage of Atlantic Coast Conference Football on the ACC Network this fall. McAlister’s Deli has partnered with the show as the official title sponsor. Scheduled to air at noon every Saturday of the college football season, the show will be hosted by Danielle Trotta and Tommy Bowden.
“We are very excited to launch a studio show for the 2011 ACC football season,” said Jimmy Rayburn, vice president of production for Raycom Sports. “This will give us new opportunities to program for the ACC Network, and give fans a refreshing view each week. We are also very pleased to announce that McAlister’s Deli has become our partner on the show as the title sponsor. We have had a great relationship with the entire McAlister’s team and we look forward to working with them on this new endeavor.”
Trotta is currently seen on NASCAR Race Hub on Speed Channel. Prior to that, she worked for WBTV in Charlotte, where she anchored six live sports shows each weekend. She is a graduate of UNC Charlotte.
Bowden, a two-time ACC Coach of the Year, posted a 72-45 record as the head coach for Clemson University in almost 10 seasons. Prior to that, he led Tulane University to an 18-4 record over two seasons and earned Conference USA Coach of the Year honors. Bowden is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he played wide receiver.
