Public Tickets On Sale This Thursday for the 2010 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game In Charlotte

Charlotte, N.C. (www.accfootballcharlotte.com) – Public tickets for the 2010 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game go on sale this Thursday, April 15, 2010. Ticket prices are $25 and $40 for Upper Level, $70 and $90 for Lower Level and $150 for Club Level. Tickets will be sold through the local organizing committee’s official website, www.accfootballcharlotte.com.

“We are very excited to begin selling public tickets for the 2010 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game,” said Will Webb executive director of Charlotte Collegiate Football. “Fans are excited about the upcoming ACC season and we feel this will translate into a very high demand for tickets. We have already seen a tremendous response from the Charlotte community during the ticket preorder period. We are dedicated to making this game a great event for the conference and participating teams, the fans in attendance and the City of Charlotte.”

The Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game will be played in Charlotte on December 4, 2010. The game will be held at Bank of America Stadium, home of the NFL's Carolina Panthers and the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

Charlotte Collegiate Football, a non-profit organization, runs the Meineke Car Care Bowl and serves as the local organizing committee for the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game. Established in 2002, the Meineke Car Care Bowl is one of the most successful college bowl game start-ups in NCAA history. The game has sold out three of its first eight years and has averaged over 62,000 fans each year. The Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game, in its sixth year, will be played in Charlotte December 4, 2010 and December 3, 2011. The winner of the championship earns the ACC bid to play in the FedEx Orange Bowl, if not selected for the BCS National Championship Game.
