Zeller Lifts No. 6 North Carolina Over Maryland, 88-64

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Tyler Zeller had 30 points in his final home game to help No. 6 North Carolina beat Maryland 88-64 on Wednesday night.

John Henson added 19 points for the Tar Heels (26-4, 13-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who led all game to set up a matchup with No. 4 Duke this weekend to determine the league's regular-season championship.

Zeller went just 5 for 12 from the field, but finished with his best scoring performance in an ACC game thanks to the number of times he went to the free throw line. Zeller made 20 of 23 attempts, breaking Tyler Hansbrough's Smith Center record for made free throws in a game and finishing one shy of matching the program's and ACC's all-time mark.

Boston College Slips Past Georgia Tech, 56-52

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior Matt Humphrey led Boston College with 13 points and freshman Ryan Anderson had 10 to lead the Eagles to a 56-52 victory against Georgia Tech Wednesday night in front of 4,474 fans at Conte Forum.

Georgia Tech held an early 12-7 lead before the Eagles went on a 21-2 run to build a 28-14 lead with 6:01 left in the half. BC scored 16 unanswered points within the 8:02 stretch and held the Yellow Jackets scoreless for more than seven minutes. Humphrey scored 11 points in the run and connected on three 3-pointers.

Boston College took a 33-22 lead into the half, its largest lead at the break in ACC action this year.

Wolfpack Outlasts Miami, 77-73

RALEIGH, N.C. - Led by C.J. Leslie's double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, NC State pulled out a thrilling 77-73 win over Miami on Senior Night. The Wolfpack improves to 19-11 (8-7 ACC) with the win, while the Hurricanes fall to 17-11 (8-7 ACC). NC State is now 5-0 all-time against the Miami at the RBC Center.

NC State completes the season sweep of the Hurricanes, who came in with seven wins in the last 10 games, as the Pack won earlier in Coral Gables, 78-73.

The Wolfpack shot 50 percent on the night, off of 28-of-56 shooting, while the Hurricanes only made 35.6 percent of its shots. Miami topped NC State on the boards, grabbing 45 rebounds, compared to 39 by the Pack.
