Nine ACC players Named To 2011 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Nine Atlantic Coast Conference baseball players have been named to the 2011 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America Baseball Team, including two first-team selections in Virginia left-handed pitcher Danny Hultzen and Florida State outfielder/pitcher Mike McGee.

Seven players from the conference were named to the third team - Georgia Tech pitchers Mark Pope and Jed Bradley and Yellow Jacket third baseman Matt Skole, Clemson third baseman John Hinson and shortstop Brad Miller, Miami third baseman Harold Martinez, and North Carolina shortstop Levi Michael.

The All-America Team was announced on Friday by Collegiate Baseball, which will release its "Fabulous 40" preseason NCAA Division I poll on Monday (Dec. 20). The 2010 Division I baseball season gets under way Feb. 18, and ACC teams' first conference weekend series are scheduled March 11-13
