3 - Clemson shortstop Brad Miller was named the ACC Player of the Week for the third time this season after batting .526 and delivering several key run-scoring hits in five games last week.
7 - ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week Buck Farmer of Georgia Tech leads all conference pitchers with seven league wins after working eight shutout innings in Sunday’s win over North Carolina.
7 - The city of Durham, N.C. will host the ACC Baseball Championship for the seventh time. The 2011 tournament will mark the fifth time the event has been held at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
11- ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week Tyler Wilson of Virginia tied a career high with 11 strikeouts while working 7.2 scoreless innings in Saturday’s win over visiting Miami.

25 - Clemson’s Will Lamb hit safely in 25 consecutive games, which marked the longest streak in the ACC this season. Florida State’s James Ramsey put together a 24-game hitting streak. Wake Forest’s Matt Conway has the longest active hitting streak among ACC players (12 games).
60 - ACC RBI leader Colin Moran of North Carolina is just the fourth freshman in school history to drive in at least 60 runs in a season. Moran has driven in 63 runs in 52 games.
300 - With last Sunday’s win over North Carolina, Georgia Tech’s Danny Hall became just the fourth ACC coach to win 300 conference regular-season games. Hall joins current coaches Mike Martin of Florida State and Jack Leggett of Clemson, along with former Clemson coach Bill Wilhelm.
With six three-game ACC series set to close out the regular season Thursday through Saturday, Florida State holds a three-game lead on Clemson in the Atlantic Division, with the teams set to meet at FSU in their final three regular-season games ... Virginia is up by two games on Georgia Tech in the Coastal Division race ... FSU, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina and Clemson have clinched spots in the eight-team 2011 ACC Championship, which will be held May 25-29 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park ... six ACC teams remain ranked among the nation’s Top 20 this week, including top-ranked Virginia, FSU (as high as fourth) and Georgia Tech (as high as eighth) among the Top 10 ... five ACC teams are listed among the top nine of the NCAA RPI report released Tuesday (No. 2 Virginia, No. 3 UNC, No. 4 Florida State, No. 8 Georgia Tech and No. 9 Clemson) ... Miami ranked 18th and NC State 30th.

ACC Player of the Week Brad Miller continues to lead the ACC in batting average (.429) ... the Windermere, Fla., junior has a career batting average of .344 and is bidding to become the first Tiger since Khalil Greene (.470) in 2002 to lead the ACC in hitting ... senior Jeff Schaus is three hits shy of becoming only the 21st player in ACC history with 300 career base hits ... in addition to his 297 career base hits, Schaus also leads all active ACC players in career games played (248), at bats (934) and doubles (57) ... Clemson tied a single-game school record with its .523 batting average (23-for-44) in Tuesday’s 19-0 win over visiting Davidson.
Sophomore Marcus Stroman matched a career high for the second straight week with 11 strikeouts in Sunday’s 10-2 win over visiting Wake Forest ... Stroman allowed just one run in a season-high eight innings ... the 5-9, 185-pound right-hander gave up three hits, recorded a strikeout in every inning and retired 15 of the first 18 batters he faced ... Stroman lowered his season ERA to 2.86 and ranks third nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (89 in 63 innings) ... he has walked just 20 batters ... Stroman is averaging 11.41 strikeouts per nine innings in his career ... Duke will play its final four games on the road, visiting The Citadel on Tuesday before its three-game ACC series at Miami.
Junior Sean Gilmartin is tied for 19th on the ACC wins list and leads all active conference pitchers with 30 career victories ... opponents are batting an ACC-low .182 against the Seminoles’ staff ace, who is just two strikeouts shy of reaching 300 for his career ... senior Mike McGee leads all current ACC players in four primary career statistical categories - batting average (.346), slugging percentage (.619), RBIs (235) and home runs (51) ... The Port St. Lucie, Fla., native is also tied for first with 18 career saves and sixth in career victories with 19 ... McGee’s 51 career home runs tie him for 19th among ACC career leaders while his 235 RBIs rank 11th all-time.
Yellow Jackets’ coach Danny Hall recorded his 300th regular-season ACC victory in last Sunday’s 3-0 shutout of North Carolina, becoming just the fourth coach in conference history to reach that mark ...ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week Buck Farmer won both of his starts over Illinois-Chicago and No. 9 North Carolina last week, allowing just one run (0.60 ERA) in 15 innings ... Farmer has an ACC-best seven wins in ACC play ... outfielder Kyle Wren has an ACC-high 26 multiple-hit games and leads all ACC freshmen in batting (.374) ... junior Mark Pope is 10-3 with a 1.46 ERA and leads all active pitchers in career complete games (6) and shutouts (4)
After an 11-day break due to final exams, Maryland closes its season with a three-game home series vs. Wake Forest this Thursday through Saturday ... freshman Tim Kiene is riding an eight-game hitting streak ... Kiene is 14-for-30 (.467) at the plate during that stretch ... after hitting 13 home runs through the first 44 games this year, the Terps have hit seven in their last nine games ... Maryland junior starting pitcher Chuck Ghysels struck out a career-high eight batters in six innings while holding Delaware to one run in the Terps’ last outing, a 7-6 road win on May 10 ... Maryland posted a 16-10 record vs. non-conference opposition in 2011.
Sophomore outfielder/infielder Zeke DeVoss leads the Atlantic Coast Conference with 28 stolen bases, as well as helping the Hurricanes with a team second-best 52 hits – including 11 doubles, three triples and a team-high 47 walks (third most in the league) ... junior center fielder Nathan Melendres sports a .327 batting average ... junior left fielder/designated hitter Rony Rodriguez is hitting at a .307 clip – including a team-leading nine home runs and 32 RBI ... Miami (32-19) is in the midst of playing four games in five days -- Tuesday night’s home game vs. FAU followed by a regular-season closing three game series vs. Duke.
In his last two ACC series, freshman third baseman Colin Moran is a combined 11-for-19 (.578) with four doubles, two homers and nine RBI ... Moran continues to lead the ACC in runs batted in (63) and multiple-RBI games (19 ... the Tar Heels have posted a 26-2 record in non-conference games this season ... the two losses are the second-fewest under coach Mike Fox ... the 2000 squad rattled off a 31-1 non-conference regular-season record ... the 2005 team owns the most non-conference regular season wins under Fox (33) ... the Tar Heels (41-12) are the 18th team in school history to reach the 40-win mark and the 10th UNC team under Fox to do so.
The Wolfpack’s total regular-season home attendance for 2011 was 42,114 and stands as the second-best mark in school history ... The Wolfpack batted .327 in last weekend’s series vs. No. 6 Florida State ... Harold Riggins had the biggest weekend offensively, batting .583 (7-for-12) and scoring six runs ... Chris Diaz batted .500 (6-for-12) with a pair of doubles and a team-best four RBI ... Matt Conway owns the ACC’s longest current hitting streak at 12 straight games ... during the streak, the Birmingham, Mich., sophomore is batting .320 (16-for-50) with seven doubles and three RBIs and has raised his season batting average from .248 to .269 ... Conway has 11 games with two-or-more hits ... Steven Brooks has 75 career stolen bases (87 attempts) and is tied for 26th on the ACC career list ...
