Boston College finished seventh at this weekend’s New England Championship Meet, its best finish in three seasons. In his first race back from injury, sophomore Louis Serafini led the Eagles with a 32nd-place finish, running the 8k course in 25:27, one second shy of tying his personal record.
Florida State captured the team championship of the Florida State Invitational held Friday in Tallahassee, Fla. Justin Harbor, a senior from Bunnell, Fla., earned ACC Performer of the Week honors leading the Seminoles with a fourth-place finish, running the 8k course in 25:01.02.
Jillian King led Boston College to a first-place finish in Saturday’s 47-team New England Championship held in Boston, Mass. With her second-place finish, the Scotia, N.Y., junior led the Eagles to their second New England Championship in three seasons. King finished the 5k course in 17:22, en route to earning her third top 10 finish of the season.
Florida State, led by Andrea Palen and Emily Ness, came in second in the Florida State Invitational held Friday in Tallahassee, Fla. Palen’s time of 17:59 earned her a ninth-place finish while Ness was 10th with a 18:05 mark.
