GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke's Shaun Thompson and Florida State's Paul Lagno were named the ACC Men's Cross Country Co-Performers of the Week, while Florida State's Linden Hall and Duke's Juliet Bottorf share Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week honors following their performances this past weekend.
Thompson finished first in a field of 60 runners at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invite in Blacksburg, Va., with a 6k time of 18:25. For the Baldwinsville, N.Y., sophomore, Friday's individual title was the second of his career. Lagno finished second overall, but tops among collegians, at the Covered Bridge Invitational in Boone, N.C. The Salt Point, N.Y. native completed the 8k course in 25:15.2 to lead the 10th-ranked Seminoles to the team title.
Hall scored the first career collegiate victory, leading the fourth-ranked Seminoles to the team title at the Covered Bridge Invitational in Boone, N.C. A sophomore from Melbourne, Australia, Hall covered the 5k course in 18:14.3. Bottorf led a field of 66 runners at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invite in Blacksburg, Va., with a 4k time of 13:38. The Newark, Del., senior led the Blue Devils in a competition that included ACC foes Virginia and Virginia Tech.
